The USCIS followed up on plans announced last fall to increase the vailidity period of TN visas from 1 year to 3 years. This applies to both new admissions as well as extensions. The proposed rule is expected to be published in the Federal Register shortly.
A range of Mexican and Canadian healthcare occupations qualify for the TN visa, for occupations such as:
Dentist, Dietitian, Medical Laboratory Technologist (Canada)/Medical Technologist (Mexico and the United States), Nutritionist, Occupational Therapist, Pharmacist, Physician (teaching or research only), Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist, Psychologist, Recreational Therapist, Registered Nurse, and Veterinarian.

No real movement in the June Visa Bulletin, except for EB2 China and India.
EB1 - All Current
EB2 - All Current, except China/India: April 1, 2004
EB3 - All March 1, 2006, except Mexico (July 1, 2002), India (Nov 1, 2001), China (March 22, 2003). Other Workers - All Jan 1, 2003.
The VB includes this Note: Demand for numbers, primarily by Citizenship and Immigration Services Offices for adjustment of status cases, is expected to bring the Employment Third preference category very close to the annual numerical limit in June. As a result, this category is likely to experience retrogressions or visa unavailability beginning in July. Such action would only be temporary, however, and a complete recovery of the cut-off dates would occur for October, the first month of the new fiscal year.
Accordingly, we should expect that the EB3 dates should be Unavailable over the summer months (July, August, and September). Come October HLG expects that the VB dates will be roughly equal to the current June VB.
