One of my kids' favorite restaurants here in Memphis is Sekisui which specializes in Japanese cuisine and is known for its great sushi. Sekisui has been a big success story since its owner, Japanese-born Jimmy Ishii, first location here in 1989. Now Ishii has restaurants all over the region and now has a travel agency focused on bringing Japanese tourists with an interest in Memphis' unique musical heritage.
