The AILA Conference for 2010 features all you need to know about PERM, and if any questions are unanswered, I will be available during the entire conference, from Wednesday through Saturday, to meet with my friends, colleagues and Blog readers either to meet casually or by appointment.
My colleagues from Fowler White Boggs, P.A., William F. Flynn, Immigration Practice Group Leader http://www.fowlerwhite.com/who-70.html and Jennifer Roeper, Immigration Lawyer par excellence http://www.fowlerwhite.com/who-immigration-attorney.html will both attend as well.
The Conference includes a PERM warm-up on Thursday, July 1st, with PERM Post-Filing Issues, Supervised Recruitment and Monumental Decisions Affecting Labor Certification Practice: BALCA Cases. On the same day, the Department of Labor will have an Open Forum.
Unfortunately, some of Thursday's PERM topics overlap, so choose them well!
On Friday, you can do the main thing: Visit the "PERM Process Process Parts I-III." This presentation will occur in three separate sessions scheduled from 8:35 until 12:00 noon. Undoubtedly you will learn everything you need to know about PERM from soup to nuts.
Another important topic for PERM practitioners on Thursday is I-9 Litigation: What We Really Need to Know and How Employers Can Respond.
On Saturday, PERM related topics are offered, including The Rights of Low-Wage Immigrant Workers under U.S. Employment and Labor Laws, and EB-5: Investing in America, Creating Jobs.
I can be reached anytime during the Conference by calling my direct line at Fowler White Boggs, PA. The number is 954-772-7600, and it will be on call-forwarding to my cell-phone 24/7.
I joined the Immigration Department of Fowler White Boggs, PA, in May 2010. The firm is statewide in Florida, with offices in Tallahassee, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Myers, and Fort Lauderdale. www.fowlerwhite.com.
