Bloggings on EB-5

China Press Interviews Mr. Brian Su on Chinese Interests in EB-5 Immigrant Investors Program

One of the leading international Chinese language newspapers "China Press" interviewed Mr. Brian Su, CEO of Artisan Business Group, Inc., a leading EB-5 market consulting and advisory service based in Springfield, Illinois.  Mr. Su expressed his concern on the future of EB-5 regional center pilot program as the majority EB-5 investors have been coming from the People's Republic of China in last two years and the pilot program will be soon expired in September 2012.  There are over 20 regional center projects available in Chinese market, however, investors are very concerned about the safety of their investment and transparency of projects that are being promoted to them. Mr. Su warns that due diligence is very critical and necessary for any investors who would invest in an EB-5 investment project.

As economy rapidly grows over last ten years in China, Chinese interests in the US immigration continue to grow.  Based on a new wealth report released by Hurun Research Institute on April 12, 2011, China has 960,000 ‘millionaires’ with personal wealth of 10 million Yuan or more (USD 1.5 million), up 85,000 individuals or 9.7% year on year.  In 2009, there were 825,000 millionaires, growing last year to 875,000.
