Remember when Secretary Napolitano said that the Obama Administration wasn't targeting DREAM Act eligible students for deportation? The Secretary on April 1, 2011, eloquently assured us that: "I will say, and can say, that you know what? [DREAMers] are not, that group, if they truly meet all those criteria, and we see very few of them actually in the immigration system, if they truly meet those [criteria], they're not the priority."
Well it turns out that the Secretary was just playing a little April Fool's joke. Right after the Secretary made that statement Prerna Lal founder of DREAMActivist.org, a national organization created to fight the deportation of undocumented students, was served with deportation papers.
Looks like Janet has some 'splainin' to do.
I put this public relations snafu right up there with the Bush Administration approving student visa applications for dead terrorists to attend flight school six months after 9-11.
