Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver introduced a bill on Friday that would prove to be a blessing for tens of thousands of individuals who are granted DACA. In addition to being granted work authorization, under Mr. Silver’s bill, individuals will be eligible for New York State’s Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). TAP provides financial aid in the form of grants of varying range from partial to full tuition costs.
