Service Data Management CHARTER B. Scope and Objectives: The Task Force shall evaluate the
following: 1. How the Attorney General can efficiently and effectively carry out
section 110 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act
of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 1221 note), as amended by Public Law 106-215. 2. How the United States can improve the flow of traffic at airport,
seaports, and land border ports-of-entry through –
3. The cost of implementing each of its recommendations. C. Period of Time Necessary for the Committee to Carry Out its
Purposes: The Immigration and Naturalization Service anticipates that
the Task Force will be able to complete its functions within the Congressionally
authorized period. D. Reporting Relationship: The Task Force will report to the
Attorney General. E. Support Services: The Immigration and Naturalization
Service will provide all necessary support services for the Task Force. F. Duties: The Task Force, as appointed by the Attorney
General or her designee, shall have responsibility for developing
recommendations regarding the accomplishments of the objectives listed in the
Scope and Objectives. The Task Force may hold hearings, take testimony, and
receive evidence, to assist in carrying out the Task Force duties. G. Costs: The estimated annual operating costs associated with
supporting the Task Force functions are estimated to be $2,103,300 per year,
including all direct and indirect expenses. It is estimated that 4.0 FTEs will
be required to support the Board. H. Meetings: The Task Force shall conduct scheduled meetings
approximately every six months in accordance with the provisions of the Federal
Advisory Committee Act and implementing regulations. I. Date of Termination: This charter expires in two years from
its effective date and is subject to renewal. J. Charter Date: The date of the charter is
