The New York District of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service will reopen for all normal business on October 1, 2001.

Please be advised of the following scheduling information:

Any appointments at the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service that were scheduled from September 11, 2001 through September 27, 2001 will be rescheduled. You will receive notification soon. Immigration Court Proceedings must be arranged with the Executive Office of Immigration Review at 26 Federal Plaza, NY, NY 10278.

Special Notice to Applicants for Naturalization

Citizenship Interviews that were scheduled at 26 Federal Plaza on the following dates have been rescheduled as noted below. The scheduled hour of the appointment will remain the same:

• September 11, 2001 rescheduled to October 15, 2001
• September 12, 2001 rescheduled to October 16, 2001
• September 13, 2001 rescheduled to October 17, 2001

Citizenship Interviews that were scheduled at 711 Stewart Avenue, Garden City on the following dates have been rescheduled as noted below. The scheduled hour of the appointment will remain the same:

• September 11, 2001 rescheduled to October 10, 2001
• September 12, 2001 rescheduled for October 11, 2001

Naturalization Hearings scheduled for the Southern District of New York Court at Foley Square have been rescheduled as noted below. The scheduled hour of the appointment will remain the same:

• September 14, 2001 rescheduled to October 19, 2001
• September 21, 2001 rescheduled to October 26, 2001
