Dear Editor:
I am a senior at Moorhead Senior High School in Minnesota. My class was discussing citizenship and one of my fellow class mates stumped my teacher with a question. I hope you can shine a little light by providing an answer to the following question: What if a baby was on a row boat, let's say it was shipwrecked, and drifted into one our our American harbors or wherever, it came from no one knows, and it is here. There is no idea of the parents of this child whether or not they are American, no one knows. Is this baby a US citizen and is eligible to run for US President in the future? My class is really looking forward to hearing from you.

Matt Berdahl
