Dear Editor:
M. Maharazu's letter indicates that the US also should start legalizing
illegal immigrants residing in the US. I do not know if Maharazu has
an idea that the US has now about 8,000,000 illegals. Canada is as large
country as US, but it has only 100,000 illegals that will not create
any problem even if all of them are legalized. With a view to
eradicate all illegal immigrants an amnesty was granted to all
illegals in 1986, but it did not seem to be successful since illegal
immigrants are still increasing day by day. Deportation of illegals
seems to be only a way to control illegal immigration in the US.
Surely, it will discourage illegal immigration.
