Dear Editor:
Gary Endelman's article "Declare Victory And Go Home: The Solution to Illegal Immigration in America" has projected the prevailing reality. His observation. "It simply makes no sense to make employment-based immigration more difficult when so many more workers come here to compete for jobs free of any restriction through family ties", is true to the point. As a lawyer in Mumbai, India, dealing with clients who seek to immigrate to the US, I have found that 90 out of 100 cases of immigration through family preference categories, the family members do not have any affinity towards each other and the real purpose of migrating to the US is not to unite with the family members. I have observed that in majority of the case parents are called by US citizen son's and daughters not out of love and affection but because it is expensive for them to employ a cook, baby sister and persons doing odd jobs.
