Thousands Of Attorneys

3,000+ professionals of the immigration law community are gathered in Salt Lake City for AILA's annual conference. One of the biggest issues on everyone's mind is PERM. Business has been down for many practitioners, as one of them put it "if I don't have any product to sell, what can I do?" With the crisis in EB quotas (both temporary and permanent), this issue is unlikey to get fixed until there is Congressional intervention. We remain hopeful that Congress will pass some meaningful relief this year.

An abbreviated Immigration Daily version will appear during our Salt Lake City stay, we will return to our usual full coverage beginning with the June 28th issue. If you are here at AILA's 2005 Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, stop by our booth (710) and meet members of the ILW.COM team.

We welcome readers to share their opinion and ideas with us by writing to editor@ilw.com.
