The Dallas Morning News reports on Back-to-School DREAM Act Day rallies. "Students throughout Texas joined others nationwide by holding rallies, presentations and petition drives on Wednesday to support legislation that would allow high school graduates to either join the military or go on to higher education as a way to become legal immigrants."

USCIS Updates H-1B Count
USCIS announced that as of September 18, 2009, approximately 46,000 H-1B cap-subject petitions and approximately 20,000 petitions qualifying for the advanced degree cap exemption had been filed. USCIS will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions.
