Dear Immigration Daily Readers:
My name is Ira Azulay, CEO of AzulaySeiden Law Group, and I hope you will seriously consider voting for me for Director of the Board of Governors of AILA. The list of candidates, both the slate and those running by petition, is very impressive, but I encourage you not only to vote for me, but to cast a vote only for me. Please feel free to review my campaign statement (attached) but in particular I want to emphasize a few points.
First, your vote for me is a vote for new people with new ideas getting into AILA Leadership. It is time we found a way to get more of us involved in AILA, and for AILA to do more for all of us. I believe my involvement is a first important step to that end. For too long I, and many others I have spoken to, have felt that AILA has been a closed circle that does not adequately represent its interests. Well here is an opportunity to make a change. We need to stand up and be heard.
Second, my background in business operations is a needed complement to the existing leadership and I believe will assist the organization in providing service to its membership. Especially in these times we need greater focus on the business of immigration law. In addition to bringing a customer focused model to the practice, I am very intent on improving the reputation of the Immigration Bar.
Finally, I am involved with a variety of organizations on both sides of the political aisle, aimed at increasing the stakeholders for CIR. With all of the national attention on immigration policy, not all good, I can think of no more important issue facing us today.
Because of this, I encourage you to vote for me, and in order to give those of us outside the traditional leadership the best shot of being represented, please slot your vote. Namely for the position of Director, do not vote for 8 qualified candidates, please just vote for Ira Azulay.
