18-Month Extension of Honduras and Nicaragua for Temporary Protected Status

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano today announced the extension of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designations for Honduras and Nicaragua for 18 months each - through July 5, 2013.

Tomorrow, USCIS will publish a Federal Register notice for each country and provide additional guidance on:

• Re-registration eligibility requirements
• Fees and procedures
• When to file applications
