Question: I have done a number of individual investors, but the securities issues of the r.c.'s is daunting since I have NO securities background. am I supposed to refer my clients to a securities attorney or assume that the r.c.s. have that matter resolved? Answer by Michael Gibson: Did that listener participate in the first session dealing with securities issues? I would refer them to the citations we sent as a starter and then recommend that he put his clients in touch with not only securities attorneys, but perhaps a contract attorney, CPA and economist to determine the suitability of the investment and the terms contained in the offering documents as well as an immigration attorney who is familiar with USCIS guidance concerning job creation and the removal of conditions under the passive program to ensure that all of his bases were covered from every aspect of the petition and their investment.
