What is the goal of the Backlog Reduction Program with respect to 485s?

Answer by California Service Center:

The USCIS goal for I-485's is to reduce the processing time to 6 months or less by September 2006. Our interim objective at the CSC is to achieve a processing time of 12 months or less by September 30, 2004.
