TPS Reminder

The USCIS issued two temporary protected status (TPS) reminders this past week:

  • Automatic EAD for TPS Hondurans and Nicaraguans - the automatic 6-month extension of existing TPS-based employment authorization for eligible Hondurans and Nicaraguans will remain in effect until July 5, 2006. For details, see here.
  • El Salvador TPS - eligible Salvadorans can re-register for the 18-month extension of TPS by March 8, 2005. For details, see here.

Dear Editor:
First of all, I would like to thank Immigrant's Weekly on behalf of all fellow decent-law-abiding immigrants. Can you please tell me where the bill stands that President Bush was going to sign that will help undocumented aliens get jobs? does it look like it will be signed soon? During his state of the Union address speech, President Bush focused more on the Social Security issue.
