Woman Delays Labor To Take Citizenship Oath
The Houston Chronicle recently reported that a woman delayed her labor to attend her naturalization ceremony before being rushed to the hospital where she delivered her baby minutes later. The doctors who delivered the baby were in disbelief that she stayed and took her oath of citizenship while in the throes of hard labor - we are less surprised. Her actions are a testament to the source of pride and importance immigrants attach to becoming American citizens.

Dear Editor
I am wondering if anyone could elaborate on the requirements of the DREAM Act as newly introduced last week. Does it
have a cut of age of 25? So many immigrant children and students are caught in this immigration quagmire, it is
great that the Act has been reintroduced. ABP
