Dear Weekly Editor
I am deeply concerned about the issue of illegal immigration and how it has been out of control, because of political correctness and the aspirations of mainly the Democrats who try to pick up voters instead of realizing the greater overall future harm it causes. This is not to say that employers have not benefitted by lowering wages of our own hard working citizens as well.
When President Fox and his American based PR group try to say that we totally benefit from this tidal wave of illegal immigration all working in the fields is somewhat of an insult to the intelligence of most americans. Why indeed would he and his government directly and indirectly help the waves of poor mixed with waves of criminals from his responsibility to that of the USA through illegal border crossings? If these waves of people are so much a benefit, why doesnt he make any type of attempt to keep his own citizens? Citizenship should never ever be granted to anyone who came across illegally or anyone who is on a Tempory Work visa. If they are here to work, that should be their reward. If they want citizenship, they need to go to the back of the line like everyone else. Why do we reward illegal activity with great rewards, which only support future law breakers. Please help our country and put politics aside. This issue is too serious to use it as political leverage. It's much easier to be strong and proactive now, as oppose to fighting an up hill catastrophy later.
