White House Immigration PowerPoint
Immigration advocates are expressing disappointment with the immigration plan being circulated by the White House on Capitol Hill. Among other things, the plan appears to create a large permanent class of "temporary workers", separated from their families, with no path to citizenship. We invite readers to read the White House PowerPoint presentation obtained by U.S. News and World Reports and comment on it.
We welcome readers to share their opinion by writing to weeklyeditor@ilw.com.

H-2A Visas
Gregory Siskind, Esq writes "The H-2A temporary agricultural visa is a nonimmigrant visa which allows foreign nationals to enter the U.S. to carry out temporary or seasonal agricultural labor or services. Given estimates that more than half of America ’s agricultural workers are undocumented immigrants, the use of the H-2A visa is becoming more and more important."
