H1B Cap Update

The USCIS issued a press release annoucing that the 20,000 available H-1B numbers for FY 2005 will be applied to all qualified H-1B nonimmigrant aliens, and will not be limited to those individuals holding a master’s degree or higher degree from a U.S. institution of higher learning. The USCIS advises employers not to file H-1B petitions until further guidance is published in the Federal Register. Stay tuned to Immigrant's Weekly to remain informed. For the entire press release, see here.
