Ingredients (conversion table):
1 cup butter or margarine
½ cup confectioners (10x, powdered) sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 ¼ cups flour (not the self rising flour)
¼ tsp. salt
¾ cup finely chopped nuts

Cream together margarine, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Lightly stir in the flour and the salt together. Mix in the chopped nuts. Chill the dough for about one hour. Preheat oven to 400° F. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes - until the balls are lightly golden. Take out of the oven and, while still warm, roll the balls in the powdered sugar coating them completely. Place on tray to cool. After they have cooled roll once again in the powdered sugar.

Hints:
Dough will be a bit crumbly, be patient while rolling the dough into balls. Store in an airtight container. Tea Cakes taste better a few days after they are baked.
