EB 5 FOR THE CHINESE INVESTOR
Author: Mona Shah
The EB-5 visa is an increasingly popular way for many Chinese people to obtain permanent residence status in the U.S. It is the one of the few visas that involves no long waits for Chinese nationals and requires no labor market test to prove unavailability of U.S. workers, no anchor relative in the United States to petition on an immigrant's behalf, no claim of extraordinary or exceptional ability, no fear of persecution in the homeland, no business to manage directly on a day-to-day basis, and no job to perform for a sponsor.
